Principles, Facts & Emotion
Maybe instead of more facts, or decisions based on emotion, what we need is a more principled way of looking at things. Facts can be distorted and twisted, emotion can blind, but principles guide. Of course, we need facts to make the best decisions, and we need emotions to motivate us to do things, but without principles, we tend to do what feels good or what is convenient rather than what is the best.
