Racism is Dehumanizing
The problem with judging a person based on their race or color is that doing so strips them of their humanity. You ignore their individual experiences, their struggles, their feeling, their culture and their understanding, views and opinions of the world, and treat them as an object with predefined attributes and characteristics that have nothing to do with who they are as an individual. It's probably one of the most dehumanizing thing you can do to a person, because you are saying they don't matter, and only your stereotype of them is important.
