In Our Own Image
Humans are inclined to reshape the world in their own image. By that I mean, we try to change our environment to better reflect our values and our own vision for the future.
This is a good thing and is what makes humans so powerful and different from animals.
But we have to remember that what we want life to be like may not necessarily be what others want their life to be like, and we have to be careful our vision of the world does not unintentionally harm others by forcing them to live a lifestyle they don’t want to live.
We are free to create the life we want so long as we don’t harm others to do so, and it is the same with them. We don’t all have to live the same way.
